Police in Lanark County have “wrapped up” their annual Angel Tree campaign, and say the community has come through once again.
The OPP and Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville teamed up to place Christmas trees in several township offices, police detachments and local businesses with tags associated to children in need so the community could match the tag to an appropriate gift.
Thanks to the Angel Tree program, over 600 children in need across Lanark County will be getting presents this holiday season.
They’re sending their thanks to everyone who took part across the County, including in Mississippi Mills and Carleton Place, and that the generosity of their partners and the community are the reason the program has been a success for 37 years and counting.
