All schools in Renfrew County are getting ready to welcome students back for in-person learning.
The Renfrew County District School Board, Renfrew County Catholic District School Board, Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario and Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est have shared updates with parents saying schools will be open and students will be back in class Tuesday, November 8th.
This comes as the province and union representing roughly 55,000 education workers in Ontario are set to go back to the bargaining table.
While some schools remained open, many closed on Friday and again today with education workers represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) protesting in Pembroke, Renfrew and Barry’s Bay.
