Remembrance Day is just around the corner and the Legion in Arnprior has pinned the first poppy.
The Town sent a photo of Legion President Donna Bell placing the first poppy on Lisa McGee.
McGee will serve as the next Mayor in Arnprior after beating out Walter Stack in Monday nights municipal election.
