Andre Pilon, of Pilon Family Funeral Home, has a penchant for the preserved funeral conveyances of yore.
You may have seen the firm’s historic horse-drawn buggy, or 1930s limo- but Pilon says the service his family funeral home offers are state-of-the-art.
While the tradition of the family funeral home is still the prevalent one in the Ottawa Valley, there is always the risk it will become less so- and that would be a loss, according to Andre Pilon.
He says Small Businesses go the extra mile for the local community.
Pilon says the pandemic changed mortuary culture, in that since it occurred, the number of families opting for supplementary video presentation of the funeral event has risen from ten percent previously, to fully ninety percent since.
