Those Facebook ads portending, “tragic ending for our Lisa” have unfortunately, come true.
Lisa LaFlamme has been terminated by Bell Media, owners of CTV.
Viewers may have been surprised to see another face in the news chair Monday night- if they hadn’t heard earlier Monday.
LaFlamme shared her story yesterday on twitter, likely seconds after an agreement being finalizing allowed her to speak openly.
She had bitten her tongue since informed of the network’s “business decision” June 29th.
Does LaFlamme consider her termination ageist?
The former National News Anchor, who had enjoyed a diversity of roles over her thirty-five year career with CTV, came down to her final good night and good luck.
Her role will be filled by the network’s current National Affairs correspondent, Omar Sachedina, starting September 5th, with fill-in anchors completing the August schedule of Canada’s most-watched nightly News.
