The two courses at Madawaska Golf in Arnprior are now open.
Rick Munro, owner and Victoria’s Dad, says the 18 hole facility came on line this week.
Munro says the game of golf has thrived worldwide during the pandemic as it provided an outdoor respite from viral worries.
But the Madawaska Golf representative says COVID has also brought some efficiencies, including extending tee-off time intervals by two minutes to a ten-minute separation, social distancing and regular power cart sanitation.
Munro says where the indoor dining room had offered sit-down dinners for up to thirty patrons, by changing up the menu and doing things outdoors, potential seating rises to up to a couple of hundred.
While 2021 was a successful season, Munro notes a more relaxed atmosphere that makes him look forward to a great 2022.
Madawaska Golf Course is located on the eastern edge of Arnprior where it meets the western edge of Ottawa, and has been family-owned for over thirty years.
