The Almonte General Hospital-Fairview Manor Foundation Walk-Run for Women’s Health is coming up Saturday September 10th.
Foundation Head Al Roberts says the event is back live-and-in-person, after two years of doing things virtually.
He says there’s a new imperative to the event, as the AGH birthing unit now delivers babies to parents in a wider catchment area.
The AGHFM fundraiser says they’re continuing with a virtual option, which you can participate in from September 3rd to the 9th.
Roberts says the two years of virtual activity was rather successful, and in 2021 one hundred participants collected 35 thousand dollars.
On September 10th, the 3, 5 and 10k events all begin at the hospital.
Al Roberts thanks the Carleton Place Canadian Tire for its continuing support as the event’s principal sponsor.
