A cannabis grow-op in the old Pepsi plant on Highway 132 is drawing concern from nearby residents.
The grow-op sits on the highway just outside the southwest end of Renfrew. In a letter passed to others living near the grow-op, one resident lists the status of the grow-op’s permits, a notable odor, and the impact the wastewater from the plant would have on the ecosystem as potential problems.
They’ve sent copies of the letter around the neighborhood in hopes of others living near the grow-op to sign on with the complaints and then forward it to various government officials.
Oldies has reached out for comment to some of the residents who have concerns with the grow-op. However, they say they’re waiting until after a May 5th meeting with the Township of Admaston/Bromley to make a public comment.
