Mississippi Mills is holding a public meeting on April 5th, to hear your thoughts on the agricultural land study called LEAR.
It’s not the first rodeo for discussion on the topic, according to Mayor Christa Lowry.
LEAR stands for Land Evaluation and Area Review.
The Mayor says given the work done on the file over the last eleven months, the municipality would like to reassess the current collective mindset.
This study has been going on for a few years and this is the final public meeting to hear from residents and landowners about the topic.
The official title of the file is Official Plan Amendment 29 – Prime Agricultural Area Designation Review – Mississippi Mills, and for more information, you are encouraged to check out the updated website with new fact sheets, mapping and Frequently Asked Questions.
