The Town of Renfrew is replacing two signs in high visibility locations.
The sign at the corner of Veterans Memorial Boulevard will be replaced with a “Welcome to Historic Downtown Renfrew” sign.
Another Town of Renfrew sign along Highway 17, by the O’Brien Road exit near the Archive building, will also be replaced.
Communications Officer Jenna McEwan told members of council on Tuesday night (December 14th, 2021) the cost would be just over $11,600 and paid for by Municipal Modernization Funding received back in 2019.
A second quote obtained was roughly $10,000 more expensive.
The new signs will likely be installed in the spring of 2022.
