There’s been progress in introducing the County’s children ages 5-11 to the reformulated pediatric COVID-19 vaccine, but the push continues to get those numbers up and keep our kids safe.
Dr. Robert Cushman, Acting Medical Officer of Health with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit says the chances of this lower dose injection causing an adverse reaction in your child are between slim and none.

Since September there have been 36 cases in the 5 to 11 year old age group, almost 1 in 5 of all cases reported within the time frame.
