It’s so popular that Zesty Shawarma goes through between 27 and 30 kilograms of chicken breast daily.
As reporter Rick Stow tells us, Tony Hanna says operating his business out of Arnprior’s Heritage Square is a dream come true.
(Text of above feature):
Although the family had operated out of the food truck for four years previously, Zesty Shawarma was a local success story from the word “go.”
Many Arnprior residents had indulged in the delicious Lebanese meal during trips to the city, but the luxury of having Zesty Shawarma right behind McPerson’s meant you’d see the same people in line day-after-day.
That’s not something Tony is prepared to risk. To assure quality and consistency, no one but Tony touches the food, and he’s often there at 2AM to meticulously do the prep.
In Zesty Shawarma’s new location, (still take-out only) behind the CIBC bank, Tony’s able to offer year-round service.
He says he’s living the dream, and sees the opportunities as ever-expanding.
A dollar from every purchase from December 7th to the 11th will go to help the humane society.
Zesty Shawarma, open Tuesday through Saturday at Heritage Square, 75 Elgin Street West in downtown Arnprior.
