A Nepean gym has been forced to close after permitting multiple COVID-19 outbreaks which happened while defying provincial orders.
The CityNews website reports Ottawa Public Health contract tracers were met with resistance at 613 Lift, which had remained operating in defiance of the Provincial stay-at-home order.
The gym had already been charged under the Reopening Ontario Act for refusing to comply with the COVID-19 restrictions.
On Wednesday, Ottawa by-law officers, with help of police, shut down the facility located on Jamie Avenue.
City of Ottawa officials have not specified how long 613 Lift will be closed for violating the Reopening Ontario Act.
