Hydro-Quebec customers in the Pontiac who haven’t paid their power bills won’t have to worry about being disconnected at the end of their grace period on March 31st.
The utility says because of mobility restrictions imposed by the Government of Quebec due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Hydro-Québec will not cut off power to any customers, whether residential or business.
The suspension of service interruptions, which lasts from December first to March 31st, will be extended until further notice.
Residential or business customers who expect to have a difficult time paying their bills are invited to make a payments through the Hydro-Quebec website (or by calling customer services at 1 888 385-7252).
Hydro-Quebec says there will be no planned service interruptions to carry out work on its power system, except for those that are absolutely essential.
