A survey is available for residents in Renfrew County to help guide the 10-year housing and homelessness plan. Director of Social Services Laura Lepine invites everyone in Renfrew County to take part in the survey, which is available on the County of Renfrew website and is also being distributed to local municipalities.
She adds the survey will help guide the direction of the plan and they need to hear from the community to address community housing issues.
Lepine says they’re half way through their 10-year housing and homelessness plan and are looking for the community to help drive the next five years.
She adds they’re doing a review to gather information, see if they are on track and to determine what the community needs going forward. The 10-year housing and homelessness plan says affordable, safe, sustainable housing is a basic need for everyone and the County of Renfrew is determined to make this a reality. Each year the county provides an update on actions they’ve done to support the plan.
