Ontario is honouring past and present members of the Canadian Armed Forces by making it easier for them to spend more time in nature and green spaces at Ontario Parks. The province’s Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Jeff Yurek has announced that as of yesterday (Monday), any veterans and active members of the Canadian Armed Forces, residing in Ontario will have free weekday day-use entry to all Ontario Parks. Yurek says that this is just a small way they can give back to the brave heroes in uniform and of those heroes who have served our great country in the past.
The Province also allows all veterans and active Canadian Armed Forces members residing in Ontario to fish without a license.
