Firehouse Subs District Manager Raj Manchanda says Renfrew has been very welcoming to the restaurant’s newest location at the RioCan shopping plaza.
The restaurant has welcomed a steady stream of hungry customers since opening its doors last week, and the team also had a chance to meet some local heroes who stopped by for a first look before the official opening.
Along with offering another takeout option in a growing community, Manchanda says Firehouse Subs gives customers a way to support local first responders. Through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, the restaurant helps provide lifesaving equipment and resources to emergency services.
Renfrew’s first responders will have their first opportunity to apply for grants through the restaurant’s foundation during the spring application window, which opens in February. Manchanda says Firehouse Subs expects to work alongside local emergency services as they pursue funding.
The Renfrew restaurant follows the successful launch of the franchise’s Arnprior location in fall 2025.
