The voters in McNab/Braeside made their message loud and clear Monday night. They want new representation at the Township offices.
Just after 8:30 p.m., the results showed an entire change out of representatives in council. A new mayor, new deputy mayor and new council, all ready to take over.
Mayor-elect Oliver Jacob says his campaign has been a very positive one and looks forward to working with the new council.
Jacob says council needs to do more listening and responding to the people they represent in council and he hopes to do just that.
November 15th is inauguration day. After being trained by township staff and being onboarded into the mayoral and council roles, Jacob is excited to get the new council to work.
Mayor-elect Oliver Jacob will now hold the mayor’s seat until the 2030 municipal election, alongside newly elected, Matthew Brearley as deputy mayor, and Aldene Styles, Brandon Potter and Rob Tremblay as the members around the council table.
