Halloween is fast approaching, and residents looking for some frightful fun to get in the right mood can enjoy some scares this weekend while supporting a good cause in Eganville.
The Haunted Walk at Lekbor Manor opened on the evening of Friday, October 16 with spooks and scares for residents to enjoy for the next few weeks as we march closer and closer to All Hallows Eve.
Organizer Kelly Kumm says the idea for the event came from a love of the season.
More scares are ahead as the site hosts more haunted walk opportunities on October 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st.
On the 24th, organizers are also running “kids’ haunts” from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for younger attendees.
Kumm says her team will be collecting donations at the Haunted Walk to raise money for youth programming at the Bonnechere Union Public Library.
Kumm says she and her husband Robert love hosting the event and look forward to running it every year until they’re too old to continue.
