TODAY: Iconic Canadian band The Pursuit of Happiness come to the Neat Cafe in Burnstown for a live show this Friday evening at 8:00 pm! From their breakout success on MuchMusic to their entry into the Canadian Indies Hall of Fame in 2006, the band continues to tour and will play in the Ottawa Valley to kick off the weekend! $85/ticket. TODAY: Join Renfrew Minor Hockey Association for Youth Shinny Program for ages 9–13 at 4:00 pm this Friday!. A fun, informal way for young players to build confidence, get extra ice time, and enjoy the game with friends. Full hockey equipment is required, including a CSA-approved helmet with a full face mask. For safety, body contact, slap shots, and lifting the puck are not permitted. Sign up online

TODAY: Join It Takes a Village Pet Rescue and Pet Valu Arnprior to cram the cruiser this Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. They need your help filling the cruiser outside Pet Valu with as much pet food and supplies as possible for local animals in need and ensuring pets waiting on their forever home are cared for.

TOMORROW: For the first time in more than two decades, there will be a Walk for Dementia in Renfrew County. The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County invites local families, caregivers, and people living with dementia for a 1 km walk from the Arnprior Marina to Robert Simpson Park and back again. Donations from the day will support local programs and services for families impacted by dementia.

TOMORROW: What’cha all doin’ on Saturday, October 17th? Why not mosey on down to Renfrew Presbyterian’s annual Ranch Supper! A delicious Baked Potato topped with the fixin’s you love! Even comes with desert too!! $17 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under! The dinner runs from 4:30 to 6:30 pm Takeout also available! All all welcome!!

TOMORROW: The McNab/Braeside Block Party is on at the John A. Gillies Centre from 4:00 to 8:00 pm this Saturday, October 17th! Free parking, free entry! Enjoy activities, lawn games, food vendors, a beer tent, live music, a bonfire with s’mores and a free supervised halloween movie for the kids! Come celebrate the fall with the Township of McNab/Braeside!
