Roadwork season in the Ottawa Valley is coming to a close with a few projects left to complete over the course of October.
The County of Renfrew says construction will continue along three stretches of county-maintained roads:
- County Road 9 (Bulger Road) from Agnew Road to McGaghran Road in the townships of Admaston/Bromley and North Algona Wilberforce
- County Road 70 (Ruby Road) from Wolfe Road to Zadow Road in Bonnechere Valley
- County Road 508 (Calabogie Road) from Fleming Road to Burnstown Road in Greater Madawaska and McNab/Braeside
Construction for all three projects is expected to finish between mid-and-late October, with traffic reduced to a single lane at times with lights or workers directing traffic.
Crews will also be on two culvert projects:
- Olsheski Creek Culvert, located on Stanley Olsheski Road east of Old Barry’s Bay Road
- Broomes Creek Culvert and Dam, located on County Road 7 (Foresters Falls Road) east of Foresters Falls
Construction at the Olsheski Creek Culvert is anticipated to be completed by late October, while the county has not stated an expected end date for the Broomes Creek project.
The County of Renfrew is urging commuters to use extra caution when travelling through construction zones to ensure everyone’s safety.
