Lanark County OPP found a driver asleep behind the wheel on Saturday, October 3rd, after receiving calls about a suspicious vehicle in an Almonte neighbourhood.
Police found the vehicle and noticed the driver was asleep behind the wheel before pulling him over.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken to Carleton Place for testing.
After an investigation, 53-year-old, Edward Jenkins was charged with operation while impaired and having control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
The suspect had their licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days. since been released and is expected to appear in court on November 16th, 2026.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
