The upcoming season for the Arnprior Rivermen looks to be an exciting one, especially with a new player being added to the roster.
Arnprior’s senior “A” hockey team has signed a former NHLer to the lineup. Ottawa native, Ryan Spooner joins the association bringing experience gathered from 325 regular season games, gaining 167 points during his time in the league.
Spooner spent the majority of his NHL career with the Boston Bruins, however also hitting the ice with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks. He has also spent time internationally spending multiple seasons in the KHL, as well as, Switzerland and Slovakia.
He is expected to become an invaluable member of the Rivermen bringing an experienced mind for elite vision, puck-handling and the power-play advantage. Spooner’s signing proves the team is expected to go “all-in” this season to bring exciting, thrilling hockey to Arnprior, and hopefully, bring home a championship.
