The radio tower that broadcasts our WOW FM radio station in Arnprior has been struck by a large tree.
The tower, located at Mount Pakenham, seems to be operating as normal, however, there is no word on the amount of damage at this time.
For our crews to thoroughly inspect the tower, we will need to reduce our transmitter power significantly to reduce the risk of electrocution.
Because of this, listeners may notice reduced coverage in the Arnprior area until the inspections have been completed.
