TODAY: Are you ready to Fall in Love? The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society’s Renfrew County Animal Centre is hosting its Fall Adoption Days event this Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26. Adoption fees on adult cats and dogs are reduced by 15 per cent for the two-day event. Learn more at ontariospca.ca/adopt and meet the SPCA at their centre located at 115 Woodcrest Drive in Pembroke.
TODAY: The Renfrew Public Library welcomes the community to celebrate Franco-Ontariens Day this Friday! The day recognizes and celebrates Ontario’s Francophone community, culture, history, and contributions. Celebrate with a presentation of Franco-Ontarian arts, culture, and history. TODAY: The Calabogie Food Bank and the Calabogie United Church presents the OPP Chorus in concert, this Friday, September 25. The show runs from 7:00 to 8:00 pm inside the Calabogie United Church Hall. Admission is by freewill donation.
TOMORROW: Join the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors At Home Program for their annual shred day fundraiser! Saturday, September 26th from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. or until the truck is full. Sponsored by Northern Credit Union, the cost is $10 per banker box. All proceeds go towards the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors At Home programs and services.
TOMORROW: Cold Bear Brewing Co. in Arnprior presents its 4th annual Oktoberfest! Saturday September 26th. Live music, German food, games, contests, and beer! Doors open at noon. Tickets $45 each, available on the website.
TOMORROW: Take a dig into local history at Heritage Renfrew‘s open house from 1-5pm, Saturday, Sept 26 at the Renfrew Visitor Information Centre at the caboose on O’Brien Road. Come and meet the volunteers who work to preserve Renfrew‘s history in documents, photos, audio visual displays and digital records. Explore items from Heritage Renfrew‘s collections including books, documents, newspaper microfilms, photographs, family histories and more. The event is free and refreshments will be served.
