A motorcycle fundraiser supporting efforts to address shelter and housing insecurity across Ontario is stopping in Calabogie this week.
The Ontario Realtors Care Foundation’s Motorcycle Ride for Charity is making its way through the province Wednesday and Thursday, with the Renfrew County Real Estate Board and Ottawa Real Estate Board co-hosting an evening social and dinner for riders in Calabogie.
The two-day ride covers approximately 860 kilometres and brings together realtors, industry partners and supporters to raise money for organizations addressing shelter, housing and food insecurity.
Riders will leave Aurora Wednesday morning and travel through Coboconk, Bancroft and Denbigh before arriving in Calabogie. They will spend the night in the community before continuing Thursday through Portland, Sydenham and Prince Edward County, with the ride ending in Belleville.
The Ontario Realtors Care Foundation is a registered charity that supports organizations working to address housing, shelter and food insecurity. The motorcycle ride is one of the foundation’s signature fundraising events.
The Renfrew County and Ottawa real estate boards say hosting the riders is also an opportunity to highlight the industry’s involvement in communities where realtors live, work and volunteer.
