Arnprior District High School (ADHS) students from throughout the years gathered to celebrate 150 years at their location on Ottawa Street.
Items from past to present were on display showing the differences and similarities between the student generations.
Renfrew County District School Board CEO, Kristen Niemi says ADHS has a lasting legacy in the Arnprior community.
Alumni and students shared stories of their time at the school and some alumni even met classmates they hadn’t seen in decades.
ADHS Principal, Samantha Noack says the day has really brought the community together.
A time capsule was unearthed and put on display for everyone to see and as Noack tells us, they’re preparing their own to be buried at the end of the year.
The day was marked with a celebration featuring speeches from dignitaries, school representatives and students. The event celebration ended with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
