A golf tournament in Calabogie raises funds to support the local fire department.
The Three Stooges Golf Tournament is entering it’s fourth year in the community and it’s third year supporting the department. Cal Smith, one of the organizers of the tournament tells us why they chose to support the fire department.
Last year, the tournament raised $18,000 for the organization and they hope to surpass that total. Ninety-two golfers are registered for tournament and it’s set for a day filled with fun laughter and raising money for a good cause.
Although registration is now closed, that doesn’t mean someone can’t attend. Starting at 7 p.m., the after party begins in the Highlands Social House with live music, a 50/50 draw, dinner and more and the event is open to everyone.
The event is taking place Saturday, September 19th from noon until 10 p.m. at the Calabogie Highlands Resort, 981 Barryvale Road. The afterparty begins at 7 p.m.
