Renfrew County residents can now nominate individuals, organizations and businesses for the 2026 Warden’s Community Service Awards.
The annual awards recognize contributions that help strengthen communities across the county through volunteerism, leadership, innovation and community support.
Three award categories are available: individual, not-for-profit organization and for-profit business.
Individual nominees can include people involved in volunteer work, event organization, sports leadership, cultural preservation or other activities that improve community well-being.
The not-for-profit category recognizes organizations providing valuable services and support to residents, while the business category recognizes companies demonstrating community involvement through sponsorships, volunteer initiatives and support for programs, arts and culture or youth development.
Warden Jennifer Murphy says the awards are an opportunity to recognize people and organizations that give their time, talents and resources to support others.
Nominations will be reviewed by a committee made up of Murphy, the county’s director of development and property, and one member of county council.
The deadline for nominations is Oct. 16. The awards will be presented during the Nov. 12 meeting of Renfrew County Council.
