Two Deep River residents are facing charges following a stabbing investigation that left one person with life-threatening injuries.
Police say officers responded to a serious assault near McElligott Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Haedyn Fry, 26, has been charged with attempted murder and failing to comply with probation.
Fry remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Pembroke court on Sept. 18.
Sharon Druery, 69, has been charged with obstructing a police officer. She was released from custody and is due in court Oct. 13.
The investigation is continuing, with the OPP Upper Ottawa Valley Crime Unit and Deep River Police Service working under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
Police are asking residents and businesses around Glendale Avenue, McElligott Drive and nearby streets to check any security, doorbell or dash camera footage from Sept. 9.
Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
The charges have not been proven in court.
