Riverside Park in Pembroke has once again become Fiddle Park, with people already camped out and more streaming in every day ahead of this weekend’s 48th Annual Canadian Fiddle and Stepdance Championship.
The competition goes Friday and Saturday (Sept 4 & 5) at Festival Hall. The Playdowns go at 1 p.m. & 6 p.m. Friday, with another round at 10am Saturday, while the championship finals are set for 6:30 on Saturday.
This is one of Pembroke’s most treasured traditions.
This year marks an exciting new chapter for the competition, which now has national championship status.
