TODAY: The Renfrew Public Library hosts a weekly technology workshop every Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Come with questions and problems and learn the basics of computers, tablets, and phones. For ages 18+.
TODAY: The Arnprior Optimist Club’s Nine and Dine Wing Night tees off at the Madawaska Golf Club this Tuesday, August 11. Players will tee off starting at 5:00 pm and have the chance to win one of two $5,000 hole-in-one prizes, compete in a 50/50 putting contest, bid on silent auctions, and more! $90/player for golf, cart, and the wing buffet. Players and groups can register by email.
TODAY: The Township of Greater Madawaska hosts Breathwork on the Beach this Tuesday at 5:30 pm. Join Courtney Marie Wellness at the Barnet Park Beach for a calming experience of deep emotional healing, enhanced mental clarity, and profound relaxation. $40/person. Bring your own yoga mat, blanket, eye mask and comfy clothing. Register online or at the session.
TOMORROW: The Arnprior Public Library invites you to test your skill and strategy at their weekly Community Chess Club meet up. The in-person sessions happen every Wednesday at noon in the Art Corridor. The Library supplies the boards, you bring the interest and love for the game. All ages and skill levels welcome!
TOMORROW: An open jam session welcomes local musicians to the Horton Community Centre every Wednesday at 7:00 pm. All skill levels, abilities, and instruments welcome for a laid back, in-the-round style session! Free to attend.
THIS MONTH: The Cobden, Arnprior, and Renfrew Agricultural Societies present the Renfrew County Fair Jackpot 50/50. Proceeds from the raffle support community events and invest in improvements for all three volunteer-led organizations. Buy your tickets online, at the Cobden Fair August 28-30, or the Renfrew Fair September 10-13.
