It’s August, and that means it’s back to school season.
With school beginning in a few weeks, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reminding parents to make sure you submit your child’s vaccination record as soon as possible, before classes start.
Records can be submitted either online or via email at: immunization@rcdhu.com
If you’ve missed some of the required doses, the health unit is offering summer clinics for children aged 18 months to 4 years. Local clinics will be located at the Greater Madawaska Public Library in Calabogie on August 12th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Renfrew Public Library on August 17th from 9:30 a.m. until noon, and the Pembroke Public Library on August 18th from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Parents with children above the age of 4 will need to book an appointment with their primary healthcare provider or on the health unit’s website if they do not have one.
For more information visit the RCDHU’s website: rcdhu.com or call 613-732-9436, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
