Police in Arnprior have arrested and charged one individual with serious offences, including attempted murder.
Officers with the Renfrew OPP were called to a weapons call within town at around 8:15pm on Tuesday, July 21, where one person was found at the scene with serious injuries.
A 40-year-old Arnprior resident has since been charged with the following:
- Attempt to Commit Murder
- Uttering threats with intent to cause death or bodily harm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
The accused was held ahead of a bail hearing. An investigation is ongoing with the help of the Renfrew OPP’s Crime Unit.
