Local paramedics say a motorcycle rider was lucky to escape serious harm after a high-speed crash in Calabogie.
Nick LaRiche, Deputy Chief with the Renfrew County Paramedic Service, confirms that they were called to Calabogie Motorsports Park after a rider on the track collided with a deer on Sunday, July 5.
Paramedics assessed and treated the rider at the scene before transporting them to hospital with moderate-to-severe injuries, which LaRiche says was fortunate considering the situation.
