Four Mississippi Mills residents are facing drug charges after an investigation by the Lanark County OPP. The arrests came after police began an investigation into suspected cocaine trafficking in the spring. Then early last Friday morning, police executed a search warrant at a local home and shortly after, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 in connection with the investigation. Four people were arrested and police say a search of the vehicle uncovered suspected cocaine, cash and items consistent with trafficking drugs. 27-year-old Tamika Crabtree, 51-year-old Robert Cummings, 44-year-old Christopher Strickley and 34-year-old Kayla Plant, all of Mississippi Mills are all charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The charges have not yet been proven in court.
