Arnprior:
Today: A Service Canada Outreach Session is happening from 930AM-330PM in the Arnprior Public Library’s Scharf Hall. Stop by to meet with the staff from Service Canada while their offices are temporarily closed. PASSPORT SERVICE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE at this clinic.
A Therapy Dog Visit happens every Thursday, from 3-330PM as the Arnprior Library welcomes Cooper and his handler Carrie to meet with library visitors. Cooper is a super friendly Golden Retriever and always loves making new friends. Stop by to meet Cooper as he gains more community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
A Grief Support Circle coordinated by Hospice Renfrew in partnership with the Arnprior library takes place on the first Thursday of month in the tranquility of Scharf Hall from 445-615PM. To accommodate library programming, the July 2nd meeting will be held in the fireplace area downstairs. For more information reach out to Hospice Renfrew at 613-433-3993.
Tomorrow: Toddler Tales for children ages 12 months to 2.5 years happens from 10-1030AM Fridays in Scharf Hall. All you need is your library card to get a name tag and enjoy the fun every Friday!
Preschool Story Time is conducted from 11-1130AM for children ages 2.5 to school age in Scharf Hall of the Arnprior Public Library.
A Bridge Club drop in welcomes players from beginners to experienced Fridays from 1230-330PM in the Main Community Hall of the Arnprior Public Library. There is no fee or registration to attend, however donations will be accepted in support of the High School’s Guidance Office and their Teens in Need program.

Mississippi Mills:
Today: The Almonte Civitan Club Community Luncheon happens today from 1130AM-130PM at the Civitan Hall, 500 Almonte Street. The menu is a cold cut lunch and seasonal strawberry dessert. Tickets are $24 and must be purchased in advance at Baker Bob’s on on line at almontecivitan.com/shop
Tomorrow: The inaugural day of the 30th Annual Almonte Celtfest happens from 5-11PM in Gemmill Park. Come out for a weekend of family-friendly entertainment featuring musical performances by Leahy, the Derina Harvey Band, Lennie Gallant, and many more. Carleton Place:
Today: NLCC Bingo happens from 430-930PM at the Navy League building located at 137 John Street. Games have a 645PM start. Doors open at 4:30PM, ticket sales start at 5:30. Cash only. There are 50/50 tickets, Break open tickets and a Canteen.
Tomorrow: The Pipes Are Calling Weekly Summer Concert Series continues Friday evening from 6-630PM. Through the efforts of band manager Neil MacLeod, and members of the Captain A. Roy Brown Legion Branch 192 Cenotaph Committee, members of the band have agreed to perform at the local Carleton Place Cenotaph in Veterans Memorial Park on Friday evenings throughout the summer months. A piper or pipers will conduct the program in Carleton Place every Friday through September 4th, the start of the long Labour Day Weekend.
Live Music at St. James Gate happens at 111 Bridge Street from 7-10PM featuring Brock Zeman.
