A new golf tournament coming to Renfrew is aiming to help young grievers make important connections.
The first-ever Zohr Family Funeral Home Remembrance Classic will come to the Renfrew Golf Club on July 31, and Madison Zohr says the family is eager to get the idea off the ground and begin supporting local charities with help from the communities they serve, starting with a very special cause.
The camp, which is hosted by the Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice every year along Christie Lake, just west of Perth, combines fun, traditional camp activities with grief education and support that empowers children and youth when they need it most.
While the Zohr family is hoping for a great turnout, Madison says just getting people out onto the course to connect and honour loved ones with friends, family, and colleagues will be a success in itself.
Registration is open for golfers to save their spot for a full day of golf with a cart, plus lunch, a buffet banquet dinner, and entertainment throughout the evening featuring the Riley New Band.
