A 5th Anniversary celebration is happening for the Climate Matters Group this Saturday in Renfrew.
Animator Anne Pohl says it’s time to take pause and celebrate.
The venue is 291 Plaunt Street South, just behind the main thoroughfare of Raglan downtown, from 11AM to 4PM.
Protecting Our Hopes is a fabric art initiative, collecting people’s aspirations for the future- which even as the work is in progress will give people in various areas of the County the chance to participate.
Pohl says a non-industry home reno expert will be on hand to help with ideas for the homestead.
There will be a couple of trivia quizzes- one on toxic fuels, and one the Climate Matters group has developed locally.
The Climate Matters spokesperson tells us one of the affiliated organizations has a mouth-watering contribution.
Indigenous teachings will be shared, and there will be a presentation from the Ottawa Riverkeeper organization.
Pohl likens her group’s task to planting an apple tree which is at last beginning to bear fruit.
Animator Ann Pohl asks that you let the group know at 613-859-3803 or kovclimatematters@gmail.com if you can contribute to our trivia winner gifts. or bring potluck snacks.
It’s a free festival, and all ages are welcome.
