The Algonquins of Pikawakanagan First Nation are welcoming the community back to its hub for education, culture, and community connection.
Community members recently gathered to celebrate the reopening of the renewed library space, taking in a guided tour of the new space and getting the opportunity to meet with the new literacy librarian and learn about upcoming programs and services.
The updated library will provide access to books, literary resources, educational programming, and opportunities for the community to gather and learn together.
“The reopening of our library is an important milestone for our community and for the future of education in Pikwakanagan,” said the Education Manager for the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation, Shelley Wilcox.
The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation look forward to seeing community members make use of the revitalized space in the months and years ahead.
