Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: Whatknots Knitting Circle happens from 10-1130AM in Scharf Hall of the Arnprior Public Library. It’s a great social gathering of those who love to get creative. Participants bring their current yarn projects share ideas and conversation in a creative environment.
A Voter Registration Help Session is being offered from 11AM to 1PM by the Town of Arnprior municipal election team to for assistance in updating your information or verifying that you are on the Voters List for the 2026 Municipal Election.
Paper Quilling Workshops are proving quite popular. Offered Mondays from 1-3PM in Scharf Hall; you are welcome whether you are a paper quilling enthusiast, or new to the craft and looking for others who want to learn from one another and enjoy some social time. You bring your own supplies and projects; the library will provide the space. Please register space can be set up accordingly. This same program will be offered Tuesday afternoons to accommodate numbers.
A Therapy Dog Visit occurs between 3-330PM at the Arnprior Library. Every Monday, Maggie and her handler meet with library visitors, especially the after school crowd. Maggie is a delightful Golden Retriever and always loves making new friends. She loves spreading joy throughout the library and will gravitate to cuddles and a treat afterwards. Stop by to meet Maggie as she gains more community hours through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
Learn English with us is an Adult Program offered from 430-7PM in the Art Corridor, lower level of the Arnprior Public Library. Newcomers are welcome to attend this free drop-in ESL program led by a qualified volunteer tutor. If you have not attended previously, please complete the registration form so that your attendance can be anticipated.
A French Conversation meet-up happens from 545-645PM in Scharf Hall at the Arnprior Public Library. The program is led by volunteers Melanie and Angelique, and all levels of French learners are welcome.
Tomorrow: The Arnprior 10 Book Club meets from 11AM to 1230PM from September to June in Scharf Hall. It’s a collaboration between the Library and the Seniors Active Living Centre. June’s read is: Instructions for a Heatwave by Maggie O’Farrell. A Scrabble Club Meet-Up happens from Noon-2PM at the Arnprior Library’s Art Corridor in the lower level. The library has several game boards and provides a cup of coffee for Adult players.

Take Note: The Arnprior and District Museum invites you to the Fibre Arts Drop In, to occur on Sunday June 14th at 2PM as local Spinner and Weaver Jenny Croft will lead a free, family-friendly public fibre arts drop in. Find out about the Museum’s new loom and spinning equipment that are available for public use.
Mississippi Mills:

Today: The Beyond Curling Social Scene happens from 1130AM-330PM at the Curling Club, 120 Patterson Crescent.
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon-1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
Civitan Weekly Bingo is on from 430-9PM at the Carleton Place Arena, 75 Neelin Street.
An Artisinal Sourdough Bread Making Class is being offered from 6-9PM at Blue Spoon Atelier Bakery and Cafe, 5 Allan Street. Chef Burcu will guide you through the process, from preparing the sourdough, mixing the dough to baking the perfect loaf. You will create your own bread and take home what you bake in the class. After the class, you’ll enjoy the freshest bread and our delicious spreads with a coffee/tea. Come to the session wearing closed-toe shoes. For information, call 1-438-497-4621
