While someone at Town Hall has a sharp visual sense of humour, some good old fashioned analog work will be involved in the planting.
The 233 trees you see presently parked between the Fire Station and the Paramedic Base along the Algonquin Trail are intended for the Town of Arnprior’s Tree Planting Project!
These healthy samples represent 21 species of foliage native to Ontario and are intended for planting within parks and along the community’s trail system.
Planting native species is considered best practice because they come pre-adapted to local conditions.
The trees are often more resilient to the climate conditions of the region and support existing biodiversity.
