With this week being home to Oldies “Animal House” feature, we thought another go-round for the Arnprior Lions Club’s Walk for Dog Guides is in order. The community event is this coming Sunday.
For those who rely on canine companions to negotiate their everyday lives, the end of this month marks a very important day.
That’s club member and Lions’ Past-President Ben Gardiner.
Ben tells us this is the second year at the new site, following relocation from Robert Simpson Park.
It’s a valuable service that the Lions Club renders to a wide swath of the community.
The Dog Guides are provided by the Lions Foundation of Canada at no cost.
Gardiner gives a shout out to Committee Chair Emily Van de Klip and her dedicated small team that make the Walk for Dog Guides possible.
Register for the Walk at Noon on May 31st at the Algonquin Trail.
