Lanark County Community Justice is a small organization based in Perth, focusing on a model of restorative justice, similar to what’s used in Indigenous Healing Circles.
Samantha Snyder, the organization’s spokesperson, says the re-offending rate can be as low as 5-8 percent, but the job comes with its challenges.
She says it’s basically she and her boss and a volunteer board of directors who both run the program, and spread the word.
One LCCJ function you may not want to miss is almost upon us.
Friday, (May 15th) at the Oakville Rugby Club from 7-9PM. Tickets are $30, and are available at https://lccjp.ticketsplease.ca/events/doug-barr/
