Mississippi Mills has approved the 2026 Budget, and here’s a summary.
The document includes a 5.4% municipal tax increase, 9.5% police levy hike, and a new 1% capital asset levy assessment.
For a median assessed home, that’s about $184.56 for the year.
The 2026 Budget makes a serious effort to close the infrastructure gap on what will be needed in the coming years.
$18.82 dollars of the local ratepayer hike hich goes directly toward long term infrastructure.
Residents should note there are $171M in capital needs ahead.
