If you’re going to get stuck in a winter snowstorm, here’s one gar you’d want on your team!
Back on December 13th when a snowstorm paralyzed the Outaouais, a serious accident involving three vehicles occurred in the Pontiac area.
One of the drivers was seriously wedged in their vehicle, compressed to the chest and having difficulty breathing.
Thanks to the presence of mind of Michael Christopher Martin, a bystander at the scene, a life was likely saved.
Before emergency services arrived, Martin showed exceptional courage by climbing onto the crashed vehicle and creating
an air space for the trapped individual until EMS arrived.
The gesture was recognized February 6th at a police ceremony in MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais.
