The Town Where the Rivers Meet is unique, in that it boasts two clubs with the moniker “Optimist”: The Arnprior Optimistic Women’s Club is the first all-female body to receive a charter from Optimist International, granted in 2017.
COVID imposed an enforced hiatus on actvities just as the local women’s organization was getting things up and running- and fundraising was put on hold during the pandemic.
Club member Amanda Smith was delegated by her peers, of whom there are 25, to be spokesperson for our volunteer feature.
