The County of Renfrew took care of its constitutional business at the Upper Tier’s Inaugural meeting this morning, and, when the session resumed following the lunch break, it was a familiar voice that called proceeding to order.
Bonnechere Valley Township Mayor Jennifer Murphy returns to the Warden’s Chair for the 2026 term of County Council, having bested Admaston-Bromley Mayor Michael Donohue in a vote amongst their peers.
Murphy first assumed the Warden’s office on December 22nd, 2016.
After completing her third term, she stepped down in late 2019, with a gavel ceremony marking the conclusion of her tenure on December 4th, 2019.
