Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Take Note: A reading in five parts of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” by talented and enthusiastic readers takes place from 7-9PM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 47 McLachlin Street South in Arnprior. In between the staves (or parts) all voices in the room are encouraged to join in for a singing of carols old and new, traditional and not traditional to the accompaniment of a mighty pipe organ. Afterwards, come downstairs for coffee, tea, and goodies sweet and fattening. There is no admission charge for the event nor the treats. The event is billed as a wonderful way to join with community and get into whatever sort of spirit calls you!
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The North Lanark Regional Museum invites you to join in today at noon for lunch and euchre! The program “Shuffling the Cards” runs every Monday from 12 – 2:30 p.m. Have a nutritious lunch and play a game of euchre. Admission is $10 per person. This program is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Grant.
Tomorrow: A Parents ‘n Tots Skate occurs from 11AM to Noon at the John Levi Community Centre. Admission is free.
Pick-Up Hockey for Grades 10-U21 happens from 4-5PM at the John Levi Community Centre. Admission is $5, and full equipment is required.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Beyond Curling Social Scene happens from 1130AM-330PM at the Curling Club, 120 Patterson Crescent.
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon-1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
Civitan Weekly Bingo is on from 430-9PM at the Carleton Place Arena, 75 Neelin Street.
