A message from the Town of Carleton Place: Don’t hose down your hippopotamus- at lease not today, or Wednesday!
Critical watermain connections are being undertaken on the Town’s primary feedermain December 1st and 3rd, which require the municipal Water Treatment Plant to be shut down to facilitate.
In the interim, water is being supplied to the community via the Water Tower.
To ensure the Town doesn’t run low on water during these shutdowns, please restrict your water usage to the bare essentials including during overnight hours. Delay any water usage activities that can wait until the next day (e.g. laundry, dishwashing, car washing, filling hot tubs, etc.). Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
